The Impact of Dietary Inorganic Nitrate on Skin Inflammation

Are you a healthy white male non-smoker?
Aged 18 - 45?
No medical problems & no regular medications?
We are recruiting healthy male volunteers for a clinical study investigating the potential role of inorganic nitrate (in the form of beetroot juice) on skin inflammation. Participants will attend the William Harvey Heart Centre at the Charterhouse Square campus of QMUL for 6 visits over 2 weeks. We provide monetary compensation for your time, and reasonable travel expenses within Greater London.

About the researcher
Prof Amrita Ahluwalia is a world leader in dietary nitrate research, based at the William Harvey Research Institute (WHRI) at Queen Mary, University of London. Her work focuses on the benefits of inorganic nitrate in heart disease.
Dr Christopher Primus is a cardiologist (registrar grade) at Barts Heart Centre, undertaking doctoral research focussing on inflammation in heart disease at WHRI.
